Overview

I designed and coded the WordPress theme from scratch for the portfolio you are looking at right now.

Structure

The structure is simple and includes the following templates:

・Top page – incl. Portfolio excerpts, About me, and Contact form
・Archive – post archive by category
・Posts – detailed page of the artwork
・Pages – incl. Privacy policy page etc.
・404 error page

Design Concept

The theme is “Showcase”. Since this is a portfolio site, I tried to make the site a “vessel” for showing the works, so that it is not too assertive, easy to understand, and yet subtly oozes my colour.

I am also a designer, but I do most of my work as a coder, so I am building the site as a coder to make it clean and not old-fashioned.

The colour scheme is a calm, deep green (#3D5742) as a sub-colour. The reason for choosing this colour is that I want to be a person who can help other team members and clients, just like green, which is a symbol of a supporter and a person who is behind the scenes. I also like plants and nature, so the colour was chosen for the illustration and colour because of its nature motif.
The key and base colours were also selected to match this green.

The design and scrolling animations were styled consistently throughout the site to create a sense of unity.
